Huey Percy Newton was born in Monroe, Louisiana, on February 17, 1942, as the youngest of seven children. Huey was an African-American political activist and revolutionary who, along with Bobby Seale, co-founded the Black Panther Party in 1966.

Newtons life sadly ended on August 22, 1989 when he was shot at the age of only 32 years old. He will always be remembered for his work with the black panthers and will live on in history.
