Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (JROTC) students get recognized for their hard work with a Military Ball on Nov 10 at the Rosen Plaza.

“It’s a very formal event…primarily for the students,” said Chief Nutting who is in charge of the JROTC program.

Near the end of the dance, Kattherine Hernandez was crowned queen and Alexander Perez was crowned king.

JROTC cadets stood in front of the doors to welcome and salute students and visitors.

Early in the dance students sat down while others grabbed something to eat. Some complained that it was boring, but as more students started to show up the night was enlightened. Nearly all students were on the dance floor, showing off their moves.

“It was a fun night and I really enjoyed myself with my friends,” said Ashley Louis.
