Rookie in Rotation, Antonio Blakeney

Class of 2015 Pioneer graduate Antonio Blakeney scored 16 points and pulled in two rebounds in 22 minutes of playing time for the Chicago Bulls Wednesday. Blakeney is expected to continue playing in the Bulls rotation as the coach speaks highly of the player. Previously, Blakeney had appeared in an NBA game only once and only for one minute. Blakeney was drafted last June out of Louisiana State University after playing for two years for the Tigers. He went undrafted but signed a two-way contract with Chicago. The contract allows him to play in the G League when he’s not with the Bulls. However, his recent success may lead to a full NBA contract and a pay raise.
