Freshman Fifteen: Destanie Rawlings

Q: Where are you originally from?
A: I’m from [Florida]. I have some family in New York, [but] my mother lives in Kansas.

Q: Do you plan to spend the rest of your life here?
A: No, I want to go to Kansas.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: [My plans are] to graduate and go to college, I don’t know where or what I
want to major in yet.

Q: What was your dream job as a child?
A: Help kids and teenagers, kinda like a counselor.

Q: If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be
and why?

A: Obama, just so I could get to know him better.

Q: If there was one thing in the world that you could change, what would
it be?

A: [I would change] nothing.

Q: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? How
do others describe you?

A: [I would change] my behavior. [Others] would describe me as mean and bad.

Q: Do you have any talent or weird habits?
A: I draw just anything, really.

Q: What’s the one thing that people do that really annoys you?
A: When kids show out in front of their friends.

Q: Who do you look up to and why?
A: No one, well, myself kinda. I know I try my best.
