On Wednesday, January 9 at 7:30 pm, the boys varsity soccer team will play Timber Creek High School.

“In order to win the game on Wednesday, we need to communicate with each other and work hard,” said sophomore varsity player Christian Guittierez. “Everyone just needs to put in the effort and also just have fun.”

Sophomore junior varsity player Pablo Padilla feels as if the varsity could win the game, if the team keeps their heads in the game and learn from their past losses.

“They need to keep up the hard work,” Padilla said. “That includes staying longer after school and coming during breaks to practice on the field.”

Even with a rocky start this year, the team does not plan on giving up and plan to play better than their past years.

So far this 2012-2013 boys soccer season, they have seven wins, three losses, and four ties.

“Everyone should come out and support the pioneer soccer team,” Guittierez said. “And watch us kick some butt.”
